Job Summary:
The following positions have become available as part of the various projects currently being run by us and you are welcome to apply should you meet the requirements of the position.

Education:
Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Registration with South African Nursing Council
Extensive experience in TB & HIV/AIDS treatment and care
NIMART, IMCI, QI, PMTCT and PACK/PC101 trained

Advantageous:
Diploma in Clinical Assessment, Diagnosis and Treatment
Quality Improvement Training

Experience:
At least 1 years’ experience as a Nurse Mentor
3 years General Practice experience or Specialist Area
5 years’ experience in working in a Primary Health Care setting
Extensive experience in HIV/AIDS and TB treatment and care
Experience in managing patients on TB Treatment/ART
Updates in area(s) of Mentorship – Annual or 3 yearly as applicable

Requirements:
Valid Driver’s licence with Own car
SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
Advanced computer skills
Minimal/Moderate/Excessive overnight travel (up to 30%) by land or air if required
Willing to work overtime
Requirements
Technical Work Responsibilities
Guide and support DOH Nursing staff implementing DS-TB and DR-TB
Perform Clinical Audits
Document Lessons Learnt for future improvement of Programme
Review reporting documents for accuracy and completeness
Conduct monthly file audits and Data Quality Assessments
Implement, support and manage Quality Improvement initiatives and provide technical assistance
Develop Quality Improvement Plans
Conduct skills assessment for staff working in all health facilities and Community Based Services
Conduct Weekly Facility visits to provide in-service training in all health facilities
Conduct weekly/monthly mentoring to staff that received training
Conduct bi-weekly support visits to district hospitals
Ensure adherence to Guidelines and Best Practice
Keep up to date with developments in the field
