Job Summary:
As a Marketing Coordinators your role will be to assist with organizational and management tasks that support the efforts of a variety of projects, campaigns or events. Communicating with clients or employers about project, event or campaign expectations and goals. Our department is looking for a fluent Afrikaans candidate to handle marketing for our Afrikaans content.
Major Accountabilities :
•Develop strategic marketing initiatives and activities.
•Implement marketing plans for both ABL and ATL campaigns.
•Create branded advertising campaigns, and support the marketing and design teams by coordinating and collating content.
•Setup tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities.
•Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities and negotiate media coverage.
•Traffic all advertising efforts to appropriate channels.
•Develop and achieve all internal communication systems.
•Create, maintain and strengthen the organization’s overall brand through all media avenues.
•Organize and streamline service offerings into user-friendly concepts.
•Be able to work with contractors and other promotional vendors.
•Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
•Simplify complex data into a user-friendly format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids for clients and management.
Requirements:
Education: Degree/Diploma or Bachelor Marketing, Advertising, or Communication
Languages: Business English and Afrikaans ( written and spoken)
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years Marketing/ Advertising
Specific Professional Competencies:
•Fluent in Afrikaans ( A MUST)
•Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
•Experience with research using data analytics software
•Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
•Excellent Afrikaans communication and writing skills
•Ability to work effectively under pressure in a team environment.
•The marketing coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
•Strong creativity and marketing skills. Ability to generate multiple and varied ideas.
•Willingness to work longer hours prior to public holidays / long weekends.
•Self-motivated and ability to work independently
•Understanding of Marketing and Presentation Skills
•This means you should be organized and detail oriented.
•Liaise with a lot of clients.
