Job Title: Information Security Specialist
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa

Job Summary:
To ensure that all ICT related systems deliver output in support of TIA business. Manage all TIA network components ensuring approved guidelines and processes are applied for compliance. Ensure network Integrity, Confidentiality and Security including managed operations for the Firewalls, Antivirus, User access management, SSL certificates for the websites etc. Monitoring TIA systems information management and security for proper access internally and externally. Safeguard all information system assets from potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities by identifying and solving potential and actual information security incidents. Ensuring all network devices are configured adequately with necessary authentication and are updated with latest versions of patches. Management and daily systems back up and replication to the TIA DR plan and site for business continuity purposes and efficiency. Conduct TIA penetration and vulnerability assessments for management reporting. Assist with second line support for all IT escalations from the Helpdesk.

Duties/Outputs:

Financial Management:
•Provide input to the IT Operations budget with a focus on Operations and Security requirements of TIA.
•Monitor and track performance against the approved budget and address any anomalies with regards to IT Security budget
•Verify and collate invoices for the service providers used by IT for Operations and IT Security projects
•Coordinate Information Security requirements across the organisation for budget purposes

Stakeholder Relations Plans:

•Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders in order to deliver Information Security services in accordance to the expectations of the organisation.
•Maintain external relationships with service providers and suppliers, and external consultants on specific projects in order to ensure outsourced IT Operations and Information Security services meet the required service standards.

Internal Processes:

•Develop and Implement Information Security annual operations input to the IT Operational plan to ensure all network devices are updated and have not vulnerabilities

•Draft, implement and maintain relevant Policies, procedures and guidelines for Information Security management across TIA network
•Ensure Information System compliance and conformance to IT policies and processes
•Respond to internal and external audit findings timeously
•Report on Information Security in accordance to the IT Governance Framework
•Comply to all TIA systems when executing network Infrastructure tasks
•Provide input to the IT risk register
•Develop and implement standardized Information Security processes and procedures
•Implement and manage IT Service Management
•Monitor overall IT performance
•Upgrade systems by implementing and maintaining security controls
•Protect system by defining access privileges, control structures and resources
•Compile Disaster Recovery plan schedules for testing
•Data and information systems back up and replication to DR site
•Design, install and manage security mechanisms that protect networks and information systems against hackers, breaches, viruses and spyware.
•Respond to incidents, investigate violations and recommend enhancements to plug potential security gaps.

•Review performance against agreed performance standards

•Identify and implement development opportunities to ensure continuous improvement of work effectiveness and efficiency
•Departmental Information systems and tools are optimally utilized to execute core tasks

Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
•National Diploma in Computer Science
•The following certifications/ accreditation:
oMCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert).
oITIL Service Management, CISM, CISA.
•Preference – Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
