Job Title: Clerk: Complaints (B3)
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa

Contract Type: Permanent

Job Summary:
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
– Receive and administer new complaints from clients and register/open complaints
on complaints register/system.
– Identify the complainant and his/ her relation to the dispute in relation to AVBOB
policy / funeral or tombstone complaint.
– Print the relevant documentation to assist with evaluation of complaint i.e.
application form/ funeral/ tombstone invoice.
– Post/email confirmation of receipt of complaint letter.
– Open a complaint file, with the complaint number and complaint details.
– File all correspondence and complaint information in the file.
– Allocate the files to the seniors and HOD’s in the department.
– Assist senior personnel with investigation tasks and queries.
– Handle enquires (internal and external clients) and where necessary refer the
matter to senior Clerks.
– Ahoc administrative duties at times will be required
– Submit completed case files and documentation relating to complaints for
archiving.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
– Grade 12
– Knowledge of TCF/ FSCA and other legislative requirements.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
– 2 – 3 Years’ insurance and administrative experience.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Computer literate (EXCEL, Word and email).
– Be client service orientated.
– Ability to fit in and function in a team.
– Ability to independently show initiative.
– Ability to work under pressure and still be effective.
– Effective planning and time management skills.
– Ability to pay attention to detail.
– Must be able to evaluate every case/ situation according to merit.
– Self-motivated.
