The Fund is looking for Change Champions who will assist with the implementation of changes resulting from the Fund’s new strategic direction. This role will:

•Serve as a primary point of contact between impacted stakeholders and the core change team throughout the transformation journey;
•Influence and lead transformation in specific areas;
•Advocate openness and willingness to explore business process improvements;
•Lead positive opinion discussions relating to changes;
•Facilitate clear, concise and direct communication; and
•Assist with problem identification and resolution within departments.

The above responsibilities must be carried out over and above the incumbent’s core duties. The Fund will train and expose the successful employees to various experiences that will enhance their life-long skills, which in turn should enhance their career prospects.

Job Summary:
The role of a change champion is to help manage the inevitable ambiguity and uncertainty associated with implementing change. The role further assists with reducing the pressure on the centralised team to deliver change; identifying issues on the ground and raising them quickly to the project team; gathering feedback on the communications campaign and feedback to the change team; assisting with managing resistance to change amongst organisation and becoming super users and therefore assist in training of users where required.

Requirements:
Help plan and execute change management communications
•Receive and process feedback resulting from key messages
•Attend Change Champion meetings
• Conduct meetings with representatives from department(s) as necessary to facilitate changes
•Instrumental in instituting and implementation changes
•Communicate effectively, including being skilled in networking
•Value the team and develop relationships with key individuals
•Work to deescalate conflict when necessary
•Problem solve to remove barriers of change while at the same time creating supports for the change
•Promote new ideas for change, supporting the vision and motivating others to share in this experience
•Be the driving force of organizational change, leading teams through the change, towards innovation.
•Motivate, inspire, coach, and keep the team focused to the vision
•Overcome barriers to change and create supports
•Support, encourage, and lead the team through change
•Persevere with the change project to completion while demonstrating progress
•Have “facilitative leadership qualities”
•Be able to see key opportunities and be able to take a risk
•Be trustworthy
•Be respected and have the ability to influence the team members
•Have a strong knowledge base in the nature of the business with substantial problem solving abilities
•Advocate for and promote changes amongst colleagues
•Believe in the change, be driven by the vision, and be energized by the passion for change
