myUnisa is the largest university in South Africa which attracts the 3rd brilliant students in Africa. Unisa stands for “University of South Africa” is the biggest university that creates such students that are served the noble prize in South Africa. This university is ranked 6th number in the universities of South Africa. Their Building was designed in 1972. This university is located in Preller st, Muchleneuk, Pretoria. It is one of the capital cities of South Africa.
This attractive university is not only serving the students in the main city but also providing education to students in almost nine provinces which include eastern cap, western cap, midlands, and some other provinces. This university start its journey in 1873 as the “University of the Cap of good hope”. In 1916, this university is adopted as an autonomous university. This university also start its collaboration as a supervisor controller of different colleges some of them are Huguenot University College, Natal University College, Rhodes University College in Graham Stown, and Transvaal University College located in Pretoria. Then in 1959, this university become the supervisor of multi universities. Nowadays this university has become home for more than 40000 students from 130 countries in the world. They are getting different degrees, diplomas, honors, master’s certificates. Most of the population up to 90% of students are from South Africa and 10% are foreign students. The quantity of teaching staff is more than 6000 in which 55% are females and 45% are males.
This university create such personalities as Archbishop Demond Tutu who got a noble prize in 1984. He was graduated from Unisa. He was the first black person who becomes Archbishop of Capetown in 1986. He did great efforts to finish the diversity in society. The second great leader was former president Nelson Mandela. He also covers his study at this university. He has been awarded the noble prize in 1993 because of the effort which he did to finish the apartheid regime in the country.
