Sassa releases dates for Grant payments through Post. Post Office payments for May will start on 9 May. Other payment methods include payment through the bank, cashsend or a retailer.
SRD grant payments will start in the second week of the month, other SASSA Grants will be paid on the first week of the month.
Post Office payments are the most popular, the date for payments for a Beneficiary is based on the Beneficiary’s last three digits of ID numbers. Here is the list of Post Office payment dates for the Special Relief of Distress (SRD) grant for the month of May:
- 09 MAY: 080 & 085
- 10 MAY: 081 & 086
- 11 MAY: 082 & 087
- 12 MAY: 083 & 088
- 13 MAY: 084 & 089
- 16 MAY: 080 & 085
- 17 MAY: 081 & 086
- 18 MAY: 082 & 087
- 19 MAY: 083 & 088
- 20 MAY: 084 & 089
- 23 MAY: 080 & 085
- 24 MAY: 081 & 086
- 25 MAY: 082 & 087
- 26 MAY: 083 & 088
- 27 MAY: 084 & 089
- 30 MAY: 080 & 085
- 31 MAY : 081 & 086
Grant beneficiaries should also wait until they receive an SMS confirmation that their R350 grant is ready before going to collect it.
If you collect your R350 grant through a bank account, you should be aware that there is no set payment date, since Sassa has promised beneficiaries that they will receive their money. It’s also worth mentioning that Sassa does not pay out the R350 grant within the same time period as other grants are.
