Students in TVET colleges in South Africa will be glad to know that NSFAS has announced the dates for sending allowances.
It has been duty of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) to provide financial support for tertiary students. NSFAS has made the learning of SA students who wish to study in a public universities or colleges easier through the monthly allowances they send.
West Coast College Institute of Excellence in the Western Cape says their students can expect to receive the monthly NSFAS allowances. The allowances cover living, college and private accommodation allowances.
Here is the breakdown:
NSFAS allowances for returning college students pursuing National Certificate Vocational (NC(V)) — 15 August 2022.
College students pursuing studies in National Accredited Technical Education Diploma (NATED) N4 – N6 programmes — 15 August 2022(This payment will include allowances for July and and August).

NSFAS confirms that Payments will only be made to returning NATED N5 – N6 students who have passed 3 or 4 subjects and are continuing their studies from the previous semester.
Only New NATED N4 students who have been approved for NSFAS funding and successfully registered for residence will receive college or limited private accommodation allowances. NSFAS funding takes care of registration, tuition fees, accommodation, learning materials and transport.
