Mechanical Design Engineer Manufacturing Automation Engineering Systems JHB 4yr Mechanical Engineering Degree preferably Pretoria or Cape Town university 3- 5 years working experience in Solidworks and 3D CAD modelling 3+ 5 years’ experience in mechanical design field within the Automation industry in automated engineered systems Conceptualize and design of mechanical prototype (mainly) as well as standard machinery, components for industrial applications. Analyse mechanical functionality of systems, including Finite Element Analysis for structural, fatigue, thermal, vibration and acoustics (from time to time required) Analysis and specification of electro-mechanical, electro-hydraulic and pneumatic control systems Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable company standards using Solid Works Interface with Customers, Vendors, Production Managers, Procurement for component selection, manufacturing and assembly Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics Experience in electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems essential Experience in designing mechanical purpose-built machinery, industrial equipment, robotic welding, assembly cells, body in white jigs, conveyance systems and lifting equipment Analyse mechanical functionality of systems, including Finite Element Analysis. Experience in Reading and interpret technical drawings and schematics. R30 00- R35 000 full cost to company per month Gross
