Job Summary:
BDO South Africa has a vacancy for a Creditors Supervisor to join our internal Finance Department in the Johannesburg office.
The main responsibility for the Creditors Supervisor is to oversee the effective functioning of the creditors/accounts payable skill set.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Creditors Supervisor will inter alia be responsible for;
•Effective Supervision, guidance and mentorship of staff within the creditors team
•Supervise the process of on boarding new service providers and maintenance of current service providers
•Review of all service provider reconciliations
•Resolving non-routine service provider queries escalated by creditors team members
•Managing ageing records of all service providers
•Ensure all Service provider returns are processed and accounted for daily, weekly and monthly
•Submission of monthly reports for the creditors function to Senior Management
•Supervising, daily, weekly and monthly payment cycle Identification, investigating and solving of all systems and process related issues affecting accounts payable this includes changing current processes and implementing changes required
•Review and update creditors function policies and procedures
Requirements:
Qualifications/Recognition of Prior Learning equivalent:
•Grade 12
•Additional qualifications being advantageous
Work Experience:
7 – 10 years
4 years in a supervisory role is advantageous
Technical Competencies:
•Process management proficiency
•Ability to plan and execute strategic plans
•Computer Proficiency is a prerequisite
•Strong numerical, verbal and writing skills
•Proficient user of Accounting Software
•Accuracy and attention to detail
