Job Title: IT Auditor

Job Summary:
The IT Auditor is responsible to the IT Audit Manager for carrying out the work allocated to them, for keeping the IT Audit Manager informed of progress and of any problems or difficulties with that work and for ensuring that work is documented and concluded in accordance with the Firms policies and procedures. Keeping accurate time records and performs work allocated with integrity & ethics.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
•Performs those sections of the Audit as agreed with the Senior / Manager/Director
•Responsible for the security of the audit files and working papers and ensure they are safely stored.
•Ensures audit working papers are clear, concise and explain all issues clearly
•Ensures sufficient, adequate, reliable, relevant and useful evidence is placed on file to facilitate effective review
•Ensures that all work papers are complete, consistent, referenced and signed off, and the correct templates have been used
•Gives feedback to managers at audit debriefs or when required to do so, escalates problems to managers promptly
•Builds and manages client relationships effectively
•Assists with training junior staff

Requirements:
Qualifications:
•Grade 12
•B.Com Accounting, Informatics, Computer Science or relevant degree
•CISA and/or CRISC (advantageous)

Experience:
•Minimum 3 years working experience of IT Auditing

Knowledge:
•ITIL, COBIT, IDEA, ACL, CYBER equivalent

Technical Competencies:
•Ability to understand business processes.
•Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
•Knowledge of auditing concepts and principles.
•Ability to evaluate and review a range of mainframe, PC, and distributed production and applications computer systems.
•Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

Salary is market-related and commensurate with experience.
The appointment will be made in terms of the firm’s Employment Equity Policy.
