Job Title: Work Integrated Learning Officer

Salary: R 257,508.00 – 303,339.00 Annually

Job Summary:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Ensuring successful placements of students in the workplace within the prescribed timeframes
•Achieve allocated placement targets for each assigned programme and projects
•Develop and implement an Annual Placement Plan for assigned programmes and projects
•Engage and foster partnerships with Industry and Funding Partners that are beneficial and functional for WIL Operations and placements
•Establish and maintain sound relationships with exit students to ensure best placement performance
•Foster good relationship with academic staff
•Provide support to students and industry partners during the Work Integrated Learning period
•Facilitate work readiness training to students
•Gathering of all relevant supporting documents such as learner agreements, reporting templates, learner schedule, etc. and submit information to SETA’s and other funding partnerships as and when needed
•Conduct research on new industry trends and information related to work integrated learning opportunities
•Facilitating the flow of essential information to college team members relating to Work Integrated Learning
•Project manage and achieve milestones in assigned Work Integrated Learning projects and tasks
•Be brand ambassador to promote the WIL department and the college internal and external during meetings and events
•Create reports on WIL data for performance, placements, tracking and monitoring in line with management, legislative, governance and regulated requirements
•Ensure the timeous submissions of all required reports
•Perform any other administrative functions as seen fit by the organisation

Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
•Grade 12/Matric or equivalent
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience in dealing with SETA’s, TVET Colleges, businesses and government departments
•A sound understanding of the TVET College landscape
•A sound understanding of Skills Development legislation
•Efficient Computer Literacy
•Valid driver’s licence with own transport
•Communication skills- Strong English, verbal and written skills
•Project management skills
•Ability to establish and maintain partnerships
•Organisational and networking skills
•Sound report writing skills
•Research skills
•Administrative skills

RECOMMENDATION:
•A relevant Tertiary Qualification (3 years) Diploma or Degree
