Gauteng College of Nursing Application 2024 now open. Prospective students for Gauteng College of Nursing, GCON admission have till 29th September 2023 to complete the application form for 2024.
The College has also devised the basis for accepting students. We can refer to it as Gauteng College of Nursing admission requirements. GCON is made up of six campuses, to be admitted into any of the campuses, you are expected to meet the minimum entry requirements.
The Gauteng College of Nursing (GCON) invites applications from suitable qualified candidates for the 2024 intake. GCON application for 2024 academic year will not be hand-delivered or through emails. Therefore every candidate is expected to have:
- active email address, mobile number
- either a Senior Certificate (SC), a National Senior Certificate (NSC), a National Certificate Vocational (NC (V) ) Primary Health, or currently be in Grade 12
- all necessary documents available to be uploaded online
Minimum entry requirements for Diploma in Nursing
Your application must be completed with Grade 12 certificate. Your certificate must meet the requirements according to the table below.

How to Apply for Gauteng College of Nursing Admission
- Applying for GCON diploma in nursing begins with you registering an account and applying via the GPG Professional Job Centre.
- Enter your relevant information, upload the necessary documentation electronically. Note: You may have to bring physical copies of these relevant documents to the selection center, but only after you have been shortlisted by the college
- Once your application is successful, you will be asked to sign an agreement with the Department of Health.
- You will then be expected to attend lectures and engage in Work Integrated Learning, which will require you to work shifts at Gauteng hospitals and clinics during your studies.
Successful applicants must sign an agreement with the Department of Health, attend lectures, and be ready to engage in Work Integrated Learning (WIL), involving shifts, work on public holidays, weekends, and nights at Gauteng Department of Health hospitals and clinics as part of the program requirements.
