Gemalto will be launching our bursary scheme for 2022 as a means of attracting exceptional young talent to the organisation.

Bursaries awarded are for full-time university studies in Bachelor in Computer Science, specialising in IT, and we may also offer a 1-year internship with Thales as part of our Programme (terms and conditions apply).

Candidate Requirements
You need to register with a reputable Southern African university for a Bachelor in Science Computer Science degree and be either of the following:
- A minimum of a Level 4 for English First Language or a Level 5 for English Second Language in Grade 11. (The majority of academic textbooks used at university are imported from overseas and are thus published in English).
- A minimum of a level 7 for Mathematics and a level 6 in Physical Science in Grade
- Applications must be for full-time studies towards an academic degree at an accredited South African university.
- Applicants must be South African citizens by birth with a valid ID number.
- All applicants invited to attend an interview must be willing to undergo psychometric testing if required.
Bursary Inclusion
100% of the prescribed university tuition fees, prescribed text books, registration fees and exam fees.
An amount equal to the average rate for accommodation in a single room at a university residents at the university at which the Gemalto bursary is studying.
An amount for meals based on three meals per day, as determined by the university.
