This role is responsible to provide marketing and public relations coordination and support service on the INSETA Insurance Sector Student Fund Project.

Job Summary:
1. Provide guidance and updates on INSETA ISSF Project on social media platforms and to the general public and partners 40%
•Brand Awareness – Be responsible for increasing INSETA ISSF Project brand awareness in the print and online media including social media in order to position INSETA as a thought leader and an authority on skills development in the insurance sector.
•Keep abreast on happenings in the insurance sector and advise management on how to leverage opportunities. SEO (Search engine optimisation) activities.
•Marketing Campaigns – Advise the Manager on the appropriate marketing strategies in respect of their projects and campaigns and draft campaigns and budget for approval.
•Media Management – Develop and maintain a working relationship with insurance sector media and the broader media.
•Compile & Arrange press packs for ISSF in discussion with INSETA marketing division and invite the media to key functions.
•INSETA Stakeholder Management on the ISSF project – Ensure that good relations are maintained with key stakeholders and that they receive VIP attention and adequate communication. Maintain a list of these key stakeholders including insurance associations and sub sectors.
2. Provide Specialist Advice on INSETA communications and content drafting in respect to the ISSF project 30%
•Work with INSETA marketing division for a space in the Newsletter to showcase the ISSF activities – Prepare the monthly plan for the inserts to the newsletter drafted by the marketing division and generate creative ideas for content to maintain the high standard. Research and draft newsletter content on monthly INSETA ISSF activities. Administer the printing and distribution thereof.
•Press Releases on ISSF – Facilitate the content required for monthly press releases and provide to the INSETA Marketing division for publication
•Provide the ISSF content into the INSETA Annual Report
•Career Guidance Brochure – Annually review and provide content to the marketing division on ISSF options available within the career guidance brochure
•Review all outbound communiqué for the website; bulk stakeholder mail; press releases and newsletter content for ISSF. Ensure the correct placement of the communiqué.
•Manage INSETA brochures for ISSF and ensure they are annually updated in terms of look and feel and liaise with the manager and partners for content update
•Weekly review and updating of website content in discussion with the marketing division
•Draft INSETA social media content and get it approved before posting
•Liaise with INSETA marketing division for Photographic services on all ISSF partnerships and events and provide content to the marketing division for posting
3. Marketing Advisory Services on the ISSF Project 25%
•Ensure that branding is carried through on all material released by INSETA consistently using the Corporate Identity Manual as a guideline for the ISSF project
•Maintain a quarterly PR and Marketing Plan on the ISSF project.
•Manage meeting administration including typing of minutes and circulation to all attendees. Monthly report on PR and Marketing activities must be compiled for this meeting.
•Attend Career guidance expo’s which sometimes happen after hours and on weekends to promote the ISSF project.
•Work with the INSETA funding partners to assist in increasing funding for the ISSF project.
4. Divisional Administration on the ISSF Project 15%
•Record all performance on the INSETA Performance Management Tool
•Manage all promotional material stock and maintain a stock register
•Attend to telephone and other enquiries related to the ISSF Project
•Maintain a file of all divisional records
•Report on payment accruals and PR & Funding commitments
•Provide support to auditors when audit is conducted in relation to divisional records and outputs.
•Compile monthly reports on all activities for performance reporting
•Update project and finance system where applicable on project marketing activities
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirement: NQF Level 6 National Diploma qualifying in Communications / Marketing / Public Relations
Preferred Requirement: NQF 7 Degree or equivalent qualification in Communication, PR and/or Marketing and Project Management Certificate will be considered a value add
Experience:
Minimum Requirement: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Communications / Public Relations / Marketing
Managing Social Media content
