We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Specialist to take the lead on one of IQbusiness Insights’ clients online communities, conducting projects to help inform business decisions with regards to content and product development, marketing, commercial, and strategic decisions. A Research Specialist is both an analytical and a strategic thinker who performs well under pressure. He/she will be responsible for Supplier Management and should be able to manage internal teams’ demands while ensuring quality outputs and clearly articulated insights are delivered.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage panel/community projects from start to end.
- Adept at translating client needs into an appropriate insights solution.
- Questionnaire design to meet research objectives
- Scripting survey on the online platform, deploying the survey to the community, managing response rates, setting up tables.
- Exporting data / tables, application of data weights, analysing results, report setup, populating, adding insights, and presenting.
- Strong analytical skills especially when working with large data sets.
- Ability to drive automation and dashboard design projects.
- Ability to analyse social media performance
- Provide relevant consumer and strategic insights.
- Collaborate will all team members within the Research Department to meet key deliverables.
- Develop close and knowledgeable relationships with all key members of the brand, marketing and commercial, and other relevant teams.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports for various levels of the business with a focus on drawing out higher level insights.
Requirements:
- 3+ years Market Research experience, qualitative and quantitative (experience within media research will be advantageous).
- Holds a degree in economics, marketing, sociology, psychology, science, research, statistics, or business, preferably a post-graduate qualification.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft and Office tools; specifically Teams, MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Skills:
- Experience in designing and managing ad hoc quantitative research projects from questionnaire design, execution, and analytics to delivering insight reports.
- Ability to look beyond numbers and interpret and transform key research findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to question existing methods/theories and develop new approaches to research.
- Knowledge of data systems and how to interpret the resultant information (e.g., Techedge, AMPS, native social media analytics, Talkwalker etc).
- Ability to be diplomatic with a high level of cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to be objective, discreet and thorough.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and change.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a Team.
- Experience working with on-line research survey tools, including but not limited to, Alchemer, Survey Monkey etc.
