ISFAP Application Deadline 2023, Student funding can feel out of reach for those looking to pursue a tertiary education, but are unable to afford it. If this is the case for you, then lucky for you, the application period of a bursary aiming to fund missing middle students is still open, but not for long.
The deadline for student funding from the Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme (ISFAP) is fast-approaching, with only 10 days left to send in your application.
The ISFAP opened online applications for its 2023 bursary on 18 May, 2022, and will close on 31 October, 2022. Applicants are advised to submit their bursary applications within this period, as ISFAP will not accept any late applications.
The application process has been made more convenient and will likely take students about five minutes to submit, according to ISFAP’s Regional Project Manager, Sifanele Biyela.
That profile will then direct students to an “Apply” button, and the required supporting documents will be listed.
Students are required to submit the following documents along with their completed application:
- A certified copy of your Identity Document (ID)
- A certified copy of your latest Grade 12 results or Grade 11 final results
- A signed and certified consent form that can be downloaded from the ISAFP online application website.
Those who can apply and are eligible for funding from the ISFAP include:
- Students from families who earn R0 to R600 000 per annum.
- South African citizens.
- Students who will be in their first-year of studies for an undergraduate qualification.
- Academic achievement and acceptance into one of the institutions ISFAP is partnered with.
Gaining acceptance for ISFAP’s bursary also depends on whether funds are available, as it relies on donations from the public and private sector; therefore funding is not always guaranteed.
Successful applicants will receive a funding package which includes tuition, accommodation, study materials, a monthly stipend and meals, as well as student support and an on-campus ISFAP programme manager.
To take advantage of this student funding opportunity, ISFAP requires applicants to provide the documents listed below when submitting their online application:
- A certified copy of your Identity Document (ID)
- A certified copy of your latest Grade 12 results or Grade 11 final results
- A signed and certified consent for that downloaded from the ISAFP online application website.
The ISFAP bursary scheme will cover the following expenses for students who qualify for the bursary and have had their student funding application approved:
- Full tuition costs
- Student accommodation up to an annual cap (In both private and university student residences)
- Book allowances (through Van Schaik BookStore)
- ISFAP also provides a laptop
- Meal and cash allowance paid directly to the student (or cash and transport allowance depending were the student is based)
