South Africa’s National Research Foundation, NRF Award Letters 2023 are available for download. Successful NRF candidates will be able to view and download their award letters in January 2024.
The National Research Foundation (NRF) will award grants to those who have met the minimum requirements according to the NRF Postgraduate Scholarships Call for 2024, the Framework document and the Conditions of Grant may have their names in the table.

How to Accept & download NRF Award Letters 2023
Read through the Conditions of Grant and award letter documents carefully before accepting the award letter. To accept your offer,
- Navigate to https://nrfconnect.nrf.ac.za/ and click the ORCID logo to login
- Click “Applications”
- Click the plus icon to expand category of applications
- Click “Letter” to view NRF award letter
- Click “Accept Award”
- Click to accept the conditions of grant and any additional conditions of grant.
- All required documents must be uploaded to accept award, Click “cloud upload” to upload the required documents Transcripts, identification document, etc).
- Click “Accept Award”
- Click “Confirm Acceptance of Award” to confirm acceptance of award.
For those who were not awarded, The NRF provides feedback to unsuccessful candidates via the NRF Connect against your application.
