NSFAS Accommodation Portal is open for students for 2023 academic year. SA students benefiting from this bursary can check for comfortable properties close to their institution.
NSFAS bursary covers students’ tuition fees, transport costs, education material costs and grocery costs. In addition, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) launched a portal that allows accommodation providers to register their properties.
Though NSFAS has new accommodation facilities, some of these facilities both new and old are not as comfortable for students to reside in.

Start with these steps to register and load your accommodation properties with NSFAS for beneficiaries:
- Go to NSFAS Accommodation Provider Portal Link – http://www.nsfas.org.za/content/studentacom.html
- Register accordingly with your information
- After registration, you will be able to list your properties by providing their property names, location and images.
- Proceed to load your Accommodation Facilities, provide their property names, location, and images.
- NSFAS will then contact provider; and further send a panel of experts to accredit and grade the properties to ensure that they are suitable for student living.

- You can use get people to rate your facilities. to increase trust.
- respond to tenant requests & queries
- Keep proper records of important files such as lease agreements file.
- try to link Money/Bank Account.
- contact officials in the platform if any issue arise.
Students on the other hand can also create an account/profile through which they can search for accommodation properties they can live in. Interested students can apply through the portal’s platform for accommodation.
