Applications to many Universities are already closing, the 2023 academic year draws closer and NSFAS sets to accept new applications.
Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) minister, Blade Nzimande will announce the opening of NSFAS applications for 2023 on Tuesday 27 September 2022 at 16:00.
Blade Nzimande will also discuss other various recent developments relating to the current state of the bursary scheme, including its application process. He will also give a report on the support that NSFAS has.
NSFAS was established by the government according to the NSFAS Act (Act 56 of 1999) to offer financial aid to underprivileged students who wish to continue and complete their education at public universities or TVET colleges.
