NSFAS held successful engagements with institutions that will form part of the NSFAS student accommodation pilot project for 2024.
Wondering what the NSFAS pilot is? The pilot is a project launched by NSFAS to ensure that funded students get conducive Accommodation for learning. To ensure that students get conducive accommodation for learning, NSFAS works with the institutions involved.
Information from the meeting held on 6th and 7th December 2023 confirms that NSFAS has appointed four (4) Solution Partners to conduct accreditation of properties that applied for accreditation on the NSFAS accommodation platform.

Last year 2023, only three institutions were part of the Private Accommodation Providers accreditation test pilot. In 2024, there are a total number of twenty-two (22) TVET Colleges and seventeen (17) Universities for the 2024 pilot project. NSFAS Accommodation Pilot Requirements 2024
All private accommodation providers are required to apply for accreditation in order for them to be able to offer student accommodation for NSFAS Beneficiaries.
