The Venue Country Hotel located just outside Hartebeespoort Dam in the North-West Province currently seeks to employ an experienced and competent Hotel Night Receptionist, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction, to provide an efficient Front Office service to all our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of the suitable candidate will include, but not be limited to:
- Providing an efficient and professional Front Office service to guests while adhering to the company’s policies and procedures and using the company’s internal booking system known as Protel
- Ensuring that the Hotel Reception area is clean, neat and tidy and that brochures, rate sheets and maps are neatly on display
- Checking-in and checking-out of all guests must run smoothly and be conducted in a efficient and professional manner at all times
- Ensuring that all guests are received and accommodated in an efficient, friendly and courteous manner, as well as attending to all guest queries and/or complaints in a satisfactory manner
- Must be able to run a night audit
- Ensuring that all guest accounts are correct and ready upon guest departure
- Carrying out all internal control procedures
- Ensuring that all enquiries and requests for quotations are dealt with immediately and in accordance with company policy and procedure
- Ensuring that he / she is at all times well acquainted with all of the hotel’s tariffs and special offers, as well as with all facilities available to the guests of the hotel
- Ensuring that all guest profiles are entered correctly onto the system and that they are routed to the correct company
- Paying special attention to special notes, guest preferences, etc.
- Ensure that all incoming telephone calls are dealt with in an efficient and courteous manner.
Desired Experience and Qualification:
- Must have at least 2 (two) years’ experience as a Receptionist in the Front Office of a Hotel
- Must be Computer Literate in Microsoft Office packages and Protel
- Good working knowledge of Hotel Management systems is essential
- Reservations experience advantageous
- Must be willing and able to work at Night, public holidays and weekends
- Previous experience in running Night Audit advantageous
