SASSA warns clients not to provide personal information to unknown sites. The below information is fake and does NOT come from SASSA. The official and only website has been known to only be sassa.gov.za, any other website should be well investigated before sending any personal information.

Sassa’s official mandate is to administer social grants to the poor and vulnerable throughout the country. Grant applicants and beneficiaries can also contact Sassa through the following channels:

You can find the official Sassa website by going to www.sassa.gov.za. From here, you will be led to the Sassa home page, where you will find announcements about grants and relevant media releases or information on the various Sassa grants that you might be looking for.

Go to www.gov.za for the official South African Government website page on Sassa. The website is frequently updated with many different resources with regards to tax, assistance for foreign nationals and other relevant information to assist you.

You can also go to https://srd.sassa.gov.za/, the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant website. Here, you will find more information on the SRD grant, application and how to track your application status.
