Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences, SMU Registration commences for returning students on 9th January 2024. Registration commences for 2024 First Time Entering (FTEN) students later on 22 January 2024.
The Admissions Application Department has enabled the portal for registering new students into the SMU in 2024/2025 Academic year. This SMU registration comes with a registration fee as would be further emphasized in the preceding texts of this article.

2024 Registration Important Dates
Registration should be completed on the appropriate dates to ensure a hassle-free exercise.
08 January 2024 – University re-opens: academic and support staff report for duty
09 January 2024 – Registration commences for all returning (undergraduate & Postgraduate) students.
15 January 2024 – Commencement of the 2024 academic year for returning students: Lectures, clinical sessions, practicum sessions commence for registered returning students
19 January 2024 – Last Day: Registration ends for all returning (undergraduate & Postgraduate) students.
22 January 2024 – Registration commences for 2024 First Time Entering (FTEN) students
01 February 2024 – Orientation for all First Time Entering (FTEN)
02 February 2024 – Registration closes for 2024 First Time Entering (FTEN) students
05 February 2024 – Commencement of the 2024 academic year for all First Time Entering (FTEN) students
09 February 2024 – Closing Date for Late Registration for all undergraduate and postgraduate students
Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University Registration 2024/2025
Registration will be online and students will be able to register on and off campus. You are expected to use their own gadgets (laptops or smart cellular phones) to register.
