Stefanutti Stocks Inland invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Tender Buyer. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Procurement Manager.
Job Title: Tender Buyer

Job Summary:
Obtain best prices from supplier/ sub-contractor that comply with the Tender conditions, requirements, and specifications
Liaise closely with the estimator at the tendering stage.
Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities
Provide Tender support, preparation, and analysis according to Tender specifications and requirements
Excellent knowledge and understanding of construction materials
Build Strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Analyse alternatives, and develop viable recommendations
Meet with Potential Vendor representatives to improve product knowledge and negotiate buying options
Develop and maintain supplier / sub-contractor database
Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact
Requirements:
National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
Minimum 5 Years working experience in Tender Buying (Civils and Roads and Earthworks)
Able to read and analyse Tender Drawings
International Procurement experience (Africa) will be beneficial
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Must have a valid South African Driver’s License & have own vehicle
Attention to detail, Proactive service orientated attitude, Excellent negotiation skills, ability to work under pressure and must be a team player
