The Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) is a multidisciplinary, independent research institute based across two sites in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and we are currently looking for a self-directed, highly motivated and reliable Quality Control Coordinator to join our fast pace Clinical Research Department.

Job Summary:
Quality Control Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring clinical processes and procedures are conducted in accordance with global and national guidelines and regulations. He/she will develop, perform, and manage ongoing QC activities in accordance with CTU’s procedures, Sponsor’s clinical trial protocol, ethical and regulatory requirements, and other relevant guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
1.Minimum post-graduate qualification or equivalent, in medical or scientific field, a Masters’ degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
1.2-3 years of experience in a clinical research management position with minimum 2 years of
experience of on-site auditing or monitoring in a medical discipline.
2.Robust knowledge of GxP and management
3.End-user computer efficiency, with proficiency in MS Office products
4.Good knowledge of GCP and HSP preferred
5.Preferably accredited ICH GCP and Human subjects’ protection training, preferably CRA
(Clinical Research Associate) training.
Skills Required:
1.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
2.Accuracy and precision; attention to detail
3.Self-directed, highly motivated, assertive and adaptable
4.High level of confidentiality and professionalism required
5.Effective and strong written and verbal communication skills
6.Good organisational and interpersonal skills
7.Familiarity with HIV/AIDS and/or TB and/or COVID-19 in the Africa medical settings are
desired.
8.Cultural sensitivity: Capable of interacting with persons of different cultures
9.Results oriented, with a focus to detail and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced
environment to meet deadlines with competing priorities.
