The University of Namibia is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the vacant Veterinary Paraprofessional (Pathology) position, Faculty of Agriculture, Engineering and Natural Resources, School of Veterinary Medicine, Neudamm Campus.

Job Summary:
Receiving of animal carcasses/specimens and ensuring that appropriate submission forms are completed; ensuring that the carcasses/specimens are correctly stored to prevent decomposition; preparing carcasses/specimens for necropsy and assisting the lecturers/pathologist/clinicians in conducting necropsies and conducing students practical’s; ensuring that the post-mortem/pathology hall is kept clean and that biosecurity is maintained; to supervise students during practical’s, to order and replenish stocks of consumables as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory and perform any other duties as may be required.
Education And Experience Requirements:
A Diploma in Animal Health or equivalent. Registered with the Namibia Veterinary Council. Experience in working in a pathology laboratory as well a as a drivers license will be an added advantage.
