Job Summary:

WSP operates in a discipline model where project teams are located in dispersed locations and collaborate virtually to deliver project designs. The Corridor Modeller performs a variety of design activities including BIM modelling, design, preparing drawings for projects, establishing guidelines and procedures and managing workload distribution within the BIM team. The incumbent must be familiar with the collaborative Autodesk Suite and Bentley Suite of design software tools. Proven competence in modelling Highways and Civil Engineering Designs of road and rail networks, site earthworks, drainage, geometrics clash detection and be able to develop and interpret detail design work. The Corridor Modeller will be involved in automated design, design coordination and interaction with multi-disciplinary design teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Lead the modelling team to ensure that project deliverables are met in accordance with specifications and quality standards
•Able to perform designs using the following collaborative software tools;
•Bentley Suite – Microstation, OpenRoads, Open Flows, ProjectWise or AutoCad Suite – Civil 3D, AutoCAD, iDAS InfraWorks, Navisworks, BIM 360Revit suite

Develop and interpret Highways and Civil Engineering modelling and designs including:

•Site earthworks, stormwater drainage, geometrics clash detection and modelling for highways, road networks, infrastructure services
•Utilities modelling (sewer, water, stormwater) – Bulk services and site services
•Major and minor road corridor modelling, including intersections, roundabouts and interchanges
•Rail and interact with 3 D structures models

•Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

•BSc Civil Eng, BEng or B Tech (minimum) in Civil Engineering.
•Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in modelling and design of highways, roads and civil services infrastructure
•Highly competent with civil engineering design using either AutoDesk Suite and Bentley related Bentley software
•Minimum 3 years’ managing a project team
•EE candidate preferred.
